Scales are the basic building blocks of music that are used to construct melodies, chords and arpeggios. In this course you will discover how chords and scales are used in jazz improvisation and composition. Corey's innovative approach is based on two simple moveable patterns that can be combined to create any scale. You will learn to easily construct modes from their parent scales, the major scale and melodic minor scale. Pentatonic scales and their application are also included in this invaluable collection of lessons.
