The altered scale, also known as the super locrian or the diminished whole tone scale is an essential sound to be used over altered dominant chords. In this lesson you learn the origin, construction and effective fingerings for the altered scale. This scale can be a very effective sound not only over dominant chords but for outside playing ideas as well.
