About Bryan Layne
In 2026, Bryan Layne graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Throughout his studies, he has worked with extraordinary artists such as Alexander Fiterstein, Christian Schubert, Rob Patterson, Ron Selka, and Sasha Potiomkin.
An avid solo, chamber, and ensemble musician, Mr. Layne has performed for communities in venues ranging from the North Oaks Senior Living center in Pikesville Maryland to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore. Having worked under the direction of conductors such as Harlan D. Parker, Laurie Rogers, and Joseph Young, and having worked alongside musicians such as pianist Hui-Chuan Chen or Army Field Band clarinetist Jean Gould, he is always eager to entertain and to inspire.
Currently, he resides in Spring, Texas and is teaching masterclasses and private lessons at several middle schools in the Humble ISD area while maintaining an active performance and competition schedule.
When not performing, Mr. Layne enjoys spending his downtime reading, composing, playing acoustic guitar and piano, and delving into topics such as politics, philosophy, and games, all of which help inform his performances and related musical projects.
