It's time to start sounding like you understand the jazz language. This lesson introduces soloing using time tested jazz phrases that represent elements of the jazz language.
Introduction
When learning to speak a forgeign language, people learn common phrases used in daily communication. In this lesson you will learn how to use patterns, melodies and phrases, taken from the masters of jazz to improvise authentically within the jazz style. This lesson assumes that you are already familiar with chords and what notes are located within them and what chord scales fit particular chords.
