April Louise Childers is an accomplished violinist from Wheeling, WV. She began studying Suzuki violin at the age of four an...d has been performing for almost three decades. Childers performs regularly with the Washington Symphony Orchestra in Washington, PA and also maintains teaching studios in Washington, PA, Weirton, WV, and Wheeling, WV.

In addition to performing with the symphony she also performs music from a variety of other genres including Irish Fiddling, Bluegrass, Gypsy Folk Music, Contemporary Pop, and Rock. She has performed throughout the tri-state area, from Pittsburgh to Columbus, in venues such as coffeehouses, churches, restaurants, bars, and festivals.

April runs a small private teaching studio out of her home. She uses a combination of methods, including the renowned Suzuki Method, to teach violin to children as young as five and adults of any age.
