I've been involved in music and opera since I was a child in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I first performed on numerous occasions with the Knoxville Opera Company. After graduating high school, I went to the Cleveland Institute of Music in Ohio where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance. While I was attending CIM, I started to develop more interest in the very thing I fell in love with in the first place: story-telling. I took Stage Direction and Acting classes from both my Opera Stage Director as well as Acting Classes at Case Western Reserve University.

Following my studies there, I began to teach voice and piano privately back in Tennessee before returning to academia and I continued to teach while attending graduate school at the University of North Texas. While attending UNT, my interest in stage direction grew as I took more classes and I enjoyed helping my colleagues shine even more once they set foot on stage. I was then selected to assistant direct and co-edit our Revue of Golden Age Musical Theatre. I've continued to perform and create ever since. My most recent writing venture is a feature length screenplay. All of my experiences in the music world have guided me to be a well rounded and ever curious artist.

That curiosity has left me with a love not only for opera, but for musical theatre, jazz, songwriting, as well as many other genres. My philosophy as both a performer and  instructor, is to never stifle the curiosity and love for other art mediums and genres. Which is why I enjoy outreach shows on Fridays at local elementary schools where my band demonstrates our instruments and voices in many styles. 

In addition to performing locally and regionally, I am an experienced and knowledgeable Music Teacher now based in Atlanta, Georgia since 2021.
