Your biography Adam Sweet is a seasoned music professional with a BA in Musicology and certificates in violin, performance, and chamber music coaching from prestigious institutions such as the New England Conservatory of Music and the Center for Chamber Music at Apple Hill. In 1978, he toured Europe with the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, marking his first international travel experience.

His academic journey included studying Ethnomusicology at Amherst College, Composition and Music Theory at Mount Holyoke College, Photography and Film at Hampshire College, Jazz and Jazz Theory at UMass Amherst, and Violin Performance at Smith College. Post-graduation, he joined the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra, Valley Light Opera, and Keene Chamber Orchestra.

Professionally, Adam has held several notable positions, including Beer, Wine, and Cheese Manager at Bread & Circus, General Manager and National Sales Manager at Dr. Hauschka Cosmetics USA, and Sales Manager at Stamell Stringed Instruments. His role as Director of Sales and Marketing at Pioneer Valley Luthier Supply involved extensive international travel, learning about the preparation of horse tail hair for bows.

Adam co-founded "Fiddle Hill" in 1995 and wrote successful grants for the first Northampton Contradance. He has performed in Ireland, learning from renowned musicians Frankie Gavin and Tommy Peoples.
