James McGurer is the teacher at Portage Music Lessons, he is a life long guitarist and a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music. He has played in many different types of bands and has studied rock, jazz, classical, country and metal. He had his song Valkyrie, receive radio play with the James McGurer Band. His goal is to take your playing to the next level and make you the best you can be. With planned lessons that take you in the direction that you want to go, no plateau, no going backwards. James uses methods that work time and time again. No teaching page by page out of a book or straight old boring theory. Just building you into a better musician.
