Hi, and welcome! My name is Martha Lynn Carroll, and I have been teaching both children and adults the art of piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, theory, and composition since 1998. I am also a church pianist/composer/arranger and a free-lance accompanist. Besides a musician, I am also a published artist, author of fiction, and rockhounder with the Georgia Mineral Society. I have two children whom I have homeschooled and taught piano since 2009.

I received a Bachelor of Music in Composition with Honors in Piano Performance from Syracuse University. Since then, I have been a member of and adjudicated auditions for the Music Teachers National Association, American College of Musicians, and the Federation of Music Clubs. I have accompanied vocalists and instrumentalists in lessons and recitals, as well as performed at various events such as weddings, parties, and funerals. Since 1992, I have served in churches as pianist, violinist, cellist, organist, composer, arranger, choral director, choir member, and Director of Music. I am currently the pianist at Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Church. I have been teaching lessons since 1998 and have had a wide variety of piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, and composition students from age 3 through 70. My students perform in four recitals each year (Spring, Christmas, a Summer pops concert, and a Composer Expo) as well as four non-competitive auditions (Federation of Music Clubs, Cherokee Music Teachers Association Festival, North Fulton Music Teachers Festival, and the Naitonal Piano Guild). High School Seniors are encouraged to perform a Senior Recital for their friends and family.

I have played violin with several local orchestras, including the Georgia Philharmonic and Alpharetta Symphony. I served as the Concertmistress of the Symphony of North Georgia for our final concert of the 2021-2022 season.
