Katie Williams has been teaching private lessons to violinist and violists of all ages for 10 years.

Katie attended Michigan State University for undergraduate and graduate studies majoring in Music Performance. She received her Bachelor's Degree in 2006 and her Master's Degree in 2008.

She has previously taught at various educational institutions in Michigan such as MSU's Community Music School, String Connection, MASTA String Camp, and Flint School of Performing Arts. She currently maintains her teaching studio at Wilson Fine Violins in Birmingham, MI. Katie's private students have achieved superior ratings at many Solo and Ensemble Festivals and Certificates of Excellence from the Royal Conservatory's Music Development Program.

Katie keeps a performing schedule with area ensembles. She has been an active freelance musician performing will many orchestra across Michigan and Ohio including the Lansing Symphony, Flint Symphony, Rochester Symphony, Traverse City Symphony, Midland Symphony and Ohio Light Opera.
