Ioana is in the third year of the BMus program at the RCM studying violin with Berent Korfker.In her first two years she was in the class of Yossi Zivoini. Ioana started playing the violin at the age of seven being taught by her mother and then studying at the ‘Sigismund Toduta’ Music High School form Cluj. During her studies at the music high school Ioana took part in the annual National Arts Competition, being always a laureate. In the last 3 years she has been part of the Romanian National Youth Orchestra, under the guidance of Cristian Mandeal and Marin Cazacu. She has performed in several important venues form different Romanian cities and since she is studying in London, she has performed within the RCM. In the 2011 summer Ioana has participated at the Johannes Brahms Competition in Portsach.
