Mike Irene’s love for music started at age 6 when he attended a Chuck Mangione concert in Western New York. Mesmerized by the power of the music Mike knew at that moment that he would pursuing music for life.

Mike attended Boston’s Berklee College of Musicwhere he completed his Bachelor of Music degree in 1993. At Berklee, Mike studied Jazz composition, drums and arranging. After graduation He moved to New York City where he worked as a radio broadcast producer during the day and a performing musician at night. He has performed with dozens of bands in over a thousand performances since then. Mike started working with students in 2004 and eventually founded “HitMaker Music School” to give music students the opportunity to perform in recitals and public performances. Students study Drums, Bass, Voice, Piano and Guitar with Mike.
