Described by reviewers as an elegant artist and a delight for mind, heart and spirit, harpist Dr. Lizary Rodríguez Ríos has been a prize winner in four international harp competitions in France, Italy and Spain. With degrees from the Music Conservatory in Puerto Rico, The University of Arizona and the Royal Conservatory in Madrid, Spain, she holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts.

Ms. Rodríguez Ríos has performed at numerous venues and festivals in Puerto Rico, Unites States and Europe including the prestigious Casals Festival and the “Fiesta Iberoamericana de las Artes”. She has toured as a soloist and arranger with the internationally acclaimed, Grammy nominated harp ensemble, “HarpFusion” for several years. Her performances with this ensemble, as well as her arrangements have been enthusiastically received in the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Russia, Switzerland, Spain and Mexico.

Ms. Rodríguez Ríos released her debut album in 2006, entitled “Harp Voyage” and received favorable reviews from prestigious classical music magazines such as the “Classical Source” in London, “La Scena Musicale” in Québec and “Fanfare Magazine” in New Jersey. Her second album, Harp Therapy has also received great reviews from health and well-being magazines like the “New Age Journal”, the “New Age Music Magazine”, “Voice of the Angels Magazine”, and “Inspired Retailer Magazine”. She released “Christmas Arpeggios” in 2010 and in 2013 her fourth recording “Arpa...con Alma Latina”, which was selected as one of the 20 best CD productions in Puerto Rico by the “Fundacion Nacional para la Cultura Popular”.

A Puerto Rican transplant who has called Norwood, MA home for the last six years, has been in the city long enough to establish herself as one of the most sought-after event musicians in the New England area. She has received the 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, & 2016 “WeddingWire Bride’s Choice Award”. Lizary also enjoys teaching harp to aspiring students in her Norwood studio. Lizary is currently a member of the “Aujourd’hui Ensemble”.
