I offer lessons on a variety of instruments. If you are local to southern California, we can get together in person-- but if you're anywhere else, don't worry, I offer lessons online too! 

I teach students of all ages and ability levels to play the flute, clarinet, oboe, and bassoon.

In addition I also teach beginners on the piano and the recorder.

As a teacher I have eight years of experience with students from ages six to eighty-six. Whether your passion for music is a hobby or a professional aspiration, I can help you to achieve your goals.

I believe that music is an essential component of the human experience, and that it helps us to connect with each other emotionally. It is so valuable in its own right, but the act of learning music helps us to learn so many other things, too. Music lessons have been shown to improve critical thinking and pattern recognition in children, in addition to building a great work ethic-- a wonderful foundation for a lifetime of learning. Older students benefit too: music helps people of all ages maintain sharp motor skills and coordination, and many adult students find music lessons to be relaxing and therapeutic.
