Hello!  My name is Alex Rhoads and I am a private music teacher in Burke, VA.  I currently teach piano and guitar to students of all ages and levels.  In addition to over 8 years of teaching experience, I hold a Master's degree in Education from George Mason University.  I am a professional songwriter and performer in the Northern VA/DC area.

I teach lessons in a relaxed and comfortable environment where parents and siblings are welcome to sit and wait during the lesson.  Students learn theory concepts, sight reading skills and are given the chance to play songs that they enjoy!  I also hold at least one recital a year to give students the opportunity to perform in front of their peers and families.
