I have a BA in Music and certificates in violin, performance, and chamber music coaching from the New England Conservatory of Music, the Conservatory at Rivers, the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, and Hampshire College.  With coursework in Jazz from UMass Amherst, Music Theory from Mt. Holyoke College, Violin performance from Smith College and Ethnomusicology and Composition from Amherst College, I took psychology and film courses at Hampshire College.  I opened my first studio in 1986 and have been offering private lessons on mandolin-family instruments (mandolin, mandola, mandocello), and violin-famiy instruments (violin/fiddle, viola, cello), as well as guitar, banjo, octave mandolin and Irish bouzouki.  I teach online using both Slack and Google Meet (similar to Zoom).  Since the pandemic, I do not offer in person lessons or classes.  Subscribe to my YouTube channel to get regular updates and invitations for master classes and other live events.
