In this lesson we examine some ways that Grant Green used rhythm in his solos to build energy.
Introduction
Interaction with the members of the rhythm section is one of the best ways to involve the members of your group in your solos. It is also one of the best ways to develop energy and excitement in your improvisations. Grant Green was a master at using simple polyrhythmic ideas to create energy in his solos. In this lesson we examine several of the most common ways he used polyrhythm in his solos from 4 transcribed solos.
