Trombonist and conductor, John Lincourt is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Instrumental Conducting at Mercer University. He has started his performance career as a cruise ship musician working for Princess Cruises; most recently, his destinations included Alaska, California and Hawaii. Before moving to Macon, Georgia Mr. Lincourt attended Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina; there he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in trombone performance. John has been invited to perform and teach in a variety of settings and venues throughout North Carolina and Georgia as well as holds a private studio teaching trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, and guitar. He currently serves on the founding board of a program that aims to provide free learning opportunities for underprivileged student artists in the Middle Georgia area. John also holds the position of Music Director at Safe Harbor Church, planning and leading worship services. Mr. Lincourt is an avid hot tea drinker and his favorite color is purple.
