Hello, my name is Joel Pankratz. I have been playing music since I was four years old starting with piano lessons. At ten years old, I found my passion for percussion when I started playing orchestra snare drum. At 13, I joined a marching band and at 15, I started to play on a full kit. I started teaching my peers in my marching band when I was 15 and have been teaching and playing since. 

I am now 25 and have over 20 years of musical experience. My drumming experience not only spans genres but also playing techniques. I have marching band, orchestral snare, drum kit, hand drum, worship team, and other percussive experience. 

Emphasis in lessons will be placed on having fun and enjoying the music. Teaching will be comprehensive and cover rudiments, techniques, music theory, and performance. I am a big believer in enjoying lessons and the pace of teaching will accommodate and adjust according to the student. Musicianship, confidence, and professionalism will be nurtured and cultivated because there are drummers and then there are musicians who play drums. ;-)
