I am a drummer and vocalist with a BA and a Master's degree in music (Ethnomusicology from Tufts).  I have been performing drums and vocals in bands and ensembles since I was 15 years old. I specialized my masters degree in Afro-Latin culture and history. I have studied the music technique of jazz, rock and roll, hip hop, funk, classical, Latin and African music. I have been teaching for 6 years, including drum set lessons, piano, guitar, songwriting and music theory. I have taught genres including: rock and roll, funk, pop, folk, hip hop, Afro-Latin, and reggae. I also have a strong background in youth development. I can teach drums, percussion, piano, guitar, songwriting, music theory, music history, and dance.  I enjoy teaching students of all levels.
