It is easy to give excuses, to pass the blame to others. When the Journey does not yield the desired outcome and all seems to be for nothing, that is when we must persevere and continue on with the bigger picture in mind.

The seasons continue no matter how hard you fight to stop them. During the winter months we dream of spring and summer when all seemed to be great with our lives/careers. We must utilize the darker days and keep persistent. Venues will fail to respond, the Friday night gig you have had for years suddenly stops, a handful of students decide to move on, other musicians are making progress in the direction you have pursuing.  During this stage of The Journey we must push forward.
